Dark and White is a mixed Scotch whisky. It was first delivered by the London-based whisky blender established by James Buchanan. Initially known as Place of Center (after the English Place of Hall), its moniker, alluding to the highly contrasting naming, was ultimately embraced as the authority brand all things considered.

The brand’s theme (including a dark Scottish Terrier and a white West Good country White Terrier) was brought about by James Buchanan himself during the 1890s.
